The annual affiliation fee is paid by the school. The Tygerberg Eisteddfod is well supported by Durbanville Primary. Learners participate in the following items: Speech Choirs, Reading, Prose, Art, Piano, Recorder, Vocal solos / duets and Group Drama projects.

Results in 2000 were as follows: 14 merit awards, 33 Honourable mention, 67 Honours and 36 Highest Honour Awards. The most talented learners from the Tygerberg region are invited to perform in the Gala Concert.
