Our school has a computer 2 centres equipped with 56 computers. Here our learners are prepared for the future where computer literacy and knowledge of the information and communications world is essential. We run a Local Area Network. Each learner has a unique user name and password to gain access to personal files and e-mail.

We focus on one or two themes per semester per grade group. Themes are compiled so that skills in computer literacy are taught and practiced by making use of the Microsoft Office XP environment. In conjunction with information and communications technology, research by means of Internet and e-mail, computer instruction is an experience which is maximally utilized to the benefit of our learners. Every learner therefore has access to a computer for one hour per week.

We are fully aware of the fact that there is no watertight solution in the form of software against the misuse of the Internet, but we do use a software program that blocks access to undesirable websites. However we believe there is no substitute for constant supervision and monitoring while the learners make use of the Internet.
