SPORT/CULTURE SPONSORS 2010

 

 

Durbanville Primary School aims and strives to give all teams equal opportunities in all sporting codes.  We therefore, take the liberty of approaching you, as parent/company, to indicate whether you would like to become involved with the sponsorship of a team’s equipment, attire or function.  We believe that your company will benefit from the good achievements and performance in both the cultural and sporting activities of the school.

 

1.                   GENERAL

 

  • The awarding of sponsors for specific teams, will be done in consultation with the sponsors by the sport committee of Durbanville Primary and the governing body.
  • All teams may receive sponsors, e.g. B, C and D teams, etc.
  • All teams will wear the same colour for the design of the jerseys and equipment, with the exception of the U/13A rugby, U/13A netball as well as the U/14A hockey teams.  Their attire will differ slightly from the rest of the teams, as they are the first teams of the school.  Materials, designs and colour will be similar to the other teams.
  • Sponsor’s names may appear on the attire, but it must be according to guidelines as stipulated by the governing body.
  • The duration of a sponsorship will be negotiated with the sponsors and naturally the total amounts will play a role.
  • A legal, written contract between the sponsor and Durbanville Primary will be drafted.
  • The type of marketing that the companies will receive when sponsoring a team, function or sports day, will be determined by the written, legal contract.

 

2.                   APPLICATION OF SPONSOR EMBLEMS

 

·         Rugby:  On rugby jerseys, the sponsor’s name may appear horizontally on the front of the jersey.

·         No sponsor’s name may appear on the rugby shorts.

·         Netball:  Emblems may be visible at the back of the neck of the top.

·         Hockey:  Emblems in the neck of the top at the back.

·         Cricket:  The sponsor’s logo will be visible on the right side of the chest.

·         Players names or numbers may appear on the side of the sports bag with the logo of the sponsor in one colour, on the opposite side of the sports bag.

 

 

3.                   SUPPLIER

 

·         In order to ensure quality and uniformity, one supplier will be used for the making of equipment and it will be co-ordinated by Durbanville Primary School’s clothing bank and clothing committee.

·         No attire which has not been approved by Durbanville Primary School’s clothing committee will be allowed.

·         If specific deviations in the sponsor’s name is required, it must be approved by the Durbanville Primary School’s clothing committee and must meet with the guideline as stipulated above.

 

4.                   ADDITIONAL ATTIRE

 

·         Official touring attire for a specific tour, may be worn for the duration of the tour in addition to the standard clothing/equipment of jerseys, skirts and sports bags.

·         The official touring attire must be approved by the clothing committee of Durbanville Primary School.

 

5.                   COSTS

 

5.1   Sport (all items include the embroidery costs)

 

  • Rugby:  A set of rugby jerseys of 18 with numbers on the back and the sponsors logo on the chest @ R5 400
  • Netball:  A set of skirts and tops @ R300 each
  • Netball:  Headbands @ R65 each
  • Tennis:  Shorts and shirts, first team only @ R450 each
  • Hockey:  Boys – shirt and shorts R350 each
  • Hockey:  Girls – shirts and skirts R350 each
  • Golf:  Golf shirt R198
  • Cricket:  U/13A only – shirt @ R190 each
  • Cricket:  U/13A only - pullover @ R195 each
  • Cricket:  U/13A only – cap @ R95 each
  • Drama:  Track suit @ R450 each
  • Rugby and netball:  U/13A only – scarf @ R75
  • Hockey:  U/14A only – scarves @ R95
  • Rugby and netball:  U/13A + hockey (U/14A) – school blazers with special badge @ R495 each or  badge only @ R 100 each.
  • Sport bags @ R150 each
  • Fleece tops @ R230 each
  • Hockey : Stick bags @ R250 each

 

We need sponsors for rugby, netball-, hockey-, golf day  and golf teams as well as for the U/13A cricket team and the choir.  Please complete the reply slip if you are able to assist.

 

5.2   Functions/Sport meetings

 

We need sponsors for the following sports events and functions.  All items and functions will carry the name/logo of the sponsor.

 

·         Drama:  Stars 2010 concert @ R5 000

·         Hockey:  Scarf award ceremony @ R5 000

·         Gazebo:  3m x 3m @ R5 500

·         Netball/tennis courts x 3 @ R1 000 each for one calendar year. Conditions apply.

·         Sport teams which have not been mentioned

Should you be interested in being involved in a sports team, function or tournament, we request  you to complete the reply slip and to forward it to the school on or before Friday 5 February.  We will contact you to discuss your sponsorship with regard to the total costs and a written agreement.
