Dear Parent

PARKING

Traffic flow: We kindly request all parents to abide by the traffic rules when dropping their children at school, especially on rainy days when we experience high volumes of traffic in Weyers Avenue. We appreciate the fact that you try to drop your child as close as possible to school during adverse weather conditions, but your co-operation in this regard will be much appreciated. We would like to draw your attention to the following:

1.         Please do not park on red lines or in front of gates, not even to drop your child.

2.         Do not drive on to the school premises - it causes severe traffic congestion.

3.         Please take other people into consideration when parking in the vicinity of the school. The flow of traffic is often blocked as a result of inconsiderate parking.

4.         Do not park on the scholar patrol crossing.

5.         The parking area adjacent to the church hall, will be marked soon, weather permitting.  Kindly be more considerate when using this parking area while parking is not clearly indicated.

The school, together with the municipality of Cape Town, has erected a protected area with bollards in front of the sports fields where the learners can wait for their transport in the afternoon. Previously some parents unfortunately drove into this area with their cars. The learners can now wait there safely and protected from traffic.

Your co-operation will be much appreciated.

Yours faithfully
