Dear Parents

SMS MESSAGE SYSTEM

In future, Durbanville Primary will make frequent use of the SMS message system to relay short messages to the parents.

This system will not replace the present systems of communication, e.g. Dur Bee Buzz, Durbie SMS and circulars, but will be used in addition to these.  It will be exclusively used as a reminder or for matters which require immediate action.

We recommend that you save the number of these messages under the name Durbanville Primary.  The number is +27 83 775 800 010 355.  You will then always be able to see that the message has been sent from Durbanville Primary.

The SMS messages will be used mainly to inform you at short notice of matters arising, e.g. weather arrangements with regard to sports activities and/or as a reminder for meetings or other activities.

Please note, that you will not be able to reply directly on the system.  If an answer is required from you, the specific number will be indicated at the end of the message.  You will then have to leave the message and start a new message to the given number.

We trust that the use of this system, will be of benefit to our parents.
